HELEN KELLER INTERNATIONAL

Helen Keller International strengthened vitamin A programmes across 14 African countries through a global e-learning training series.

OVERVIEW

Helen Keller International (HKI) supports vitamin A supplementation (VAS) programmes across 14 Sub-Saharan African countries. To strengthen delivery and ensure consistency, HKI commissioned a comprehensive training programme for its teams to be developed using Articulate Storyline. It needed to be suitable for a global audience. The solution included 18 e-learning modules (20 minutes each), with the full project and testing to be completed within eight months.

ACTION

We conducted a full content audit of client-supplied materials to confirm completeness, define clear and measurable learning objectives, address gaps, and clarify key messages. Structured content documents ensured accuracy, flow, and alignment with objectives and audience needs. Approved content was storyboarded in Figma using our rapid authoring process, based on pre-built wireframes aligned to Storyline templates. This reduced build-stage ambiguity, improved accessibility and consistency, accelerated review cycles, and helped meet the ambitious timeline. Our project management systems tracked progress across 18 modules and two languages (English and French), with clear review stages and version control, enabling targeted client feedback.

IMPACT

The full 18-module programme was delivered on time and within budget and has been rolled out across multiple countries. The structured approach ensured consistency in design, navigation, and accessibility across all modules and both language versions, creating a cohesive, maintainable programme. The project also validated our wireframing process, which has since nearly halved Storyline production time while improving quality and consistency.
