DANONE NUTRICIA

Danone (Nutricia) created a digital course for the FloCare Infinity pump, enabling flexible, self-paced remote training for healthcare professionals.

OVERVIEW

We have worked with Danone (Nutricia) on a range of projects. In this case, they needed a training solution for healthcare professionals using the FloCare Infinity enteral feeding pump. Historically, all training had been delivered face-to-face, which made it difficult to reach hospitals across the country efficiently. The client wanted a digital alternative that would replicate the practical aspects of the training while allowing healthcare professionals to learn remotely and at their own pace.

ACTION

We reviewed the existing face-to-face training and borrowed a pump to assess whether a realistic digital simulation could be created. After testing several approaches, we developed a simulation using high-quality still photographs enhanced with interactive elements. The device was photographed in our studio with a fixed camera setup to ensure visual consistency across all screens. The simulations were supported by explanatory content and video demonstrations. To reflect the needs of busy healthcare professionals, we focused on practical tasks they would encounter in their daily work. Hotspot interactions allowed learners to explore the pump interface, familiarise themselves with its buttons and settings, and practise key processes in a safe environment. We worked closely with the subject matter expert to design guided troubleshooting activities, enabling learners to work through common alarms and error messages step by step. Because many hospitals restrict access to external systems, we delivered the course in multiple formats to ensure compatibility with internal platforms.

IMPACT

The digital course enabled hospitals across the country to access consistent training without the need for in-person sessions. This significantly improved the efficiency and reach of the programme. By replacing face-to-face delivery with an interactive digital solution, Danone reduced the time and cost associated with travel and classroom training while still providing healthcare professionals with practical, hands-on learning.
