THE GLOBAL FUND

The Global Fund developed a multilingual Code of Conduct course, combining interactive learning with custom data tracking to support global onboarding.

OVERVIEW

We have delivered 12 projects for The Global Fund, with around 75% requiring translation into multiple languages. One of the largest was a five-module Code of Conduct course, which needed to be delivered in six languages: English, French, Spanish, Portuguese, Russian and Arabic. The course was designed for new starters joining the CCM team and needed to be interactive, experiential and relevant to real-world situations. In addition, the client wanted to capture detailed learner data throughout the course. As their LMS did not support this functionality, a custom data-collection approach was required.

ACTION

The course was created in Articulate Storyline. We designed and structured the learning around a scenario-based narrative. Learners follow a fictional new starter as they progress through induction and encounter common workplace situations. To make the experience engaging and practical, we incorporated a range of interactive elements, including incoming emails, phone calls and instant messages that learners needed to respond to. The course also included varied assessment activities designed to test decision-making in realistic contexts. To capture learner data, we developed custom JavaScript that passed responses directly to a Google Form, allowing submissions to be recorded and updated in real time. Because the course included multiple interaction types, branching scenarios and embedded communications, the translation process required careful reformatting and quality control to ensure the content worked correctly in each language. We coordinated closely with translators, voiceover artists and the client’s internal reviewers.

IMPACT

The final course was launched as mandatory training for all new and existing members of the CCM team worldwide. Delivering the programme in six languages ensured that learners could complete the training in their preferred language. The additional learner data captured through the custom integration also provided valuable insight for the learning and development team. This allowed them to identify trends in responses and highlight areas where further training or support might be needed.
